While Shimano Cues is our basic groupset, it is one of Shimano's last major innovations (launched in 2023) and includes cutting-edge technologies such as the Linkglide cassette. This features increased durability and up to 3 times the lifespan of previous cassettes. In addition, longevity is further extended by not stressing the chain by excessive sideways bending on the recumbent bikes. In short, it's a very high quality kit that we like to fit to our cycles.

High-end shifting set with the advantage of only one shifter at the rear, which we combine with a wide-range 11-51 tooth cassette. This means you get a full range of gears, but you only need to operate one shifter. 

Many people from the recumbent community have been sad to learn that several years ago, SRAM stopped manufacturing their remarkable Dual Drive system. It combined a 3-speed hub and a cassette, offering 24, 27 and even 30 gears, with the cranks having only one chainring, naturally without a front derailleur. However, Sturmey Archer came up with a similar system, CS-RK3, and from 2020, we have included it in our shifting systems offer. This system makes the front part of the bike look more streamlined and allows you to change the 3 gears of the hub even when stationary.

The unique N380™ internal gear hub of the Nfinity groupset allow you to change the gear ratio between your pedals and rear wheel in one continuous motion. Just twist the shifter slightly on the handlebar and the gear ratio is changed to any ratio within its range. This is easy to do, no matter if you are freewheeling, pedaling under load or waiting at a stoplight. Moreover, the N380 is practically maintenance-free, as it is made up of self-contained systems. They are also specially designed to withstand the high torque of an eBike.

You can also shift with your bike at a standstill, and unlike other gear hubs, this one is fixed to the bike using a quick-release fastener that significantly simplifies rear wheel removal in case of a puncture.

We recommend Rohloff if you plan to travel several thousand kilometers/miles per year on your bike if you frequently find yourself in a sludgy or dirty environment, and if the lifetime of all components is ultimately key to you.

In case of TRIcon and Ti-FLY trikes, we recommend Rohloff gear shifting mainly to those who will frequently fold them to their smallest size while removing the rear wheel or maybe also the tread with crank arms (ideal for placing the rike in a transport case).

Rohloff E14
Electronic version of the popular Rohloff hub gearbox. Instead of shifting with a grip, which requires a relatively large amount of force, you shift with two levers that function as electronic buttons. The Rohloff E14 is directly connected to the Bosch electric drive, so the two systems work seamlessly together. However, it doesn't provide an automatic shifting!

If you are shorter than 165 centimeters / 5' 5", or have limited knee or hip mobility, we can shorten the standard cranks by 20 mm or more. We usually shorten the cranks to 150 mm.
