ChangeClassic derailleur set-up with double chainring and 10-speed cassette
While Shimano Cues is our basic groupset, it is one of Shimano's last major innovations (launched in 2023) and includes cutting-edge technologies such as the Linkglide cassette. This features increased durability and up to 3 times the lifespan of previous cassettes. In addition, longevity is further extended by not stressing the chain by excessive sideways bending on the recumbent bikes. In short, it's a very high quality kit that we like to fit to our cycles.
- Double chainring with 46/30 tooth and hollow axle

ChangeHigh-end groupset with wide range cassette and rear derailleur only
High-end shifting set with the advantage of only one shifter at the rear, which we combine with a wide-range 11-51 tooth cassette. This means you get a full range of gears, but you only need to operate one shifter.

Combination of 3-speed internal gear hub and 9-speed cassette plus Shimano derailleur
Many people from the recumbent community have been sad to learn that several years ago, SRAM stopped manufacturing their remarkable Dual Drive system. It combined a 3-speed hub and a cassette, offering 24, 27 and even 30 gears, with the cranks having only one chainring, naturally without a front derailleur. However, Sturmey Archer came up with a similar system, CS-RK3, and from 2020, we have included it in our shifting systems offer. This system makes the front part of the bike look more streamlined and allows you to change the 3 gears of the hub even when stationary.

ChangeStepless maintenance-free gear hub providing 380% of gear range
The unique N380™ internal gear hub of the Nfinity groupset allow you to change the gear ratio between your pedals and rear wheel in one continuous motion. Just twist the shifter slightly on the handlebar and the gear ratio is changed to any ratio within its range. This is easy to do, no matter if you are freewheeling, pedaling under load or waiting at a stoplight. Moreover, the N380 is practically maintenance-free, as it is made up of self-contained systems. They are also specially designed to withstand the high torque of an eBike.

Change18-speed gearbox with 636% gear range
Pinion P1.18 is a technological marvel, bringing the much-needed wide gear range into the world of recumbent bikes and trikes and can even be geared to a very low speed. 636% gear range and 18 speeds are incredible numbers, and no other system in the world could match Pinion in this respect. In addition, everything is designed with outstanding German quality and features.
Gear range: 636%
Necessary maintenance: Oil change every 10.000 km (6250 miles) or once a year
NOTE 1: The number of sprockets' teeth (front and back) can be customized. If you have any, please specify your requirements in the note.
NOTE 2: To tension the chain, we use the chain tensioner at the rear wheel. As the whole gearbox housing is turned upside down so that its positioning can better fit the recumbent bike/trike design and function, this would put the Pinion chain tensioner in an unreasonable place, and thus we cannot use a standard Pinion tensioner.

ChangeHigh-quality, low maintenance 14-speed gear hub offering 526% of gear range S0161
+1,850 $
High-quality, low maintenance 14-speed gear hub offering 526% of gear range
A legendary 14 speed gear hub manufactured in Germany that has an incredible reliability. This is because in severe conditions it can withstand mileages of over 100 000 km (62 000 miles) and there are even known cases of people who have traveled more than 200 000 km (125 000 miles) with Rohloff. Its advantages include not only minimum maintenance requirements and wide gear range, but also a very little chance of damage to this gear in an accident. It’s obvious you can shift with your bike at standstill.
As opposed to other gear hubs, this one is fixed to the rear fork using a quick release with significantly facilitates rear wheel removal in case of a puncture. We recommend Rohloff if you plan to travel several thousand kilometers/miles per year on your bike, if you frequently find yourself in sludgy or dirty environment and if the lifetime of all components is ultimately key to you. In case of TRIcon and Ti-FLY trikes, we recommend Rohloff gear shifting mainly to those who will frequently fold them to their smallest size while removing the rear wheel or maybe also the tread with crank arms.
Range: 526%
Necessary maintenance: Oil change every 5000 km (3125 miles)
Note 1: All of our frames have the so called Rohloff OEM rear fork dropouts. This is why we use the Rohloff in version with OEM Axle Plate, which is the neatest and the most professional way of embedding the Rohloff hub in a bike frame. Also, the bike look is not affected by any unsightly torque retainers.
Note 2: We use an external gear box for all of our bikes.
